When you have a tight deadline to meet, many people are capable of peak performance. Therefore, it can be a strategy to build up pressure from time to time. If you want to achieve a certain goal by a certain date, tell others. This puts pressure on you, as you are suddenly in “debt” with the others. And it is precisely this pressure that can help you to overcome your low level of motivation.
